Ask me anythingArchive

#3 has been the issue I’ve been trying to fix!  XD

People need to be more balanced about why and what they do. A lot of people try so hard to please others because they want attention. You have to ask yourself why you want it and is who you are trying to please even good for you.

“You attract more flies with honey”… metaphorically speaking do you really want to attract flies?  I don’t! Flies are gross to me. Ha! (sorry flies) Then don’t use honey. Use something else. Attention = friendship = help = money = popularity/fame = security = safety = jealousy = envy = backstabbers.

Do what makes YOU happy, express who and what you are about. What I worry about is some of my students doing things to please me and not because it’s what they really want. It’s two different things.

"dad was talking with his coworker
his coworker’s daughter has been preparing for medical school since she was young
she get perfect scores on SATs and is a genius in all her classes
congrats for her
she works hard
then the coworker asks what I do
dad says I major in art
and the coworker says
“She’s wasting her talents.”
EXCUSE ME???
and dad says, “She is happy though.  It’s an easy life.”
OMG Dad! D8"
